For unlined TANGY Silk garments, please soak in cold water for about 15 minutes and hand wash gently without chemical detergent. Hang the garment up straight away from water for wrinkle-free effects after it’s dry. You can wear it without ironing, or steam iron for an even better result. The traditional way of washing silk is eco-friendly. For lined TANGY Silk garments, we recommend dry cleaning.

TANGY Silk is a top quality all-natural silk. This new fabric is developed by TANGY Collection, and based on the Gambiered Guangdong Silk and its traditional plant-based dyeing process.

Gambiered Guangdong Silk is an all-natural fabric that draws its material from nature. It derives its unique colours and patterns from the extract of wild dioscorea cirrhosa and a 30-step process. It is always a top-grade silk for its anti-bacterial and anti-allergic qualities. Suitable for hand-wash, the fabric will become softer and more comfortable to wear after a few washes.

For over two thousand years, it has followed the traditional processing technique, bringing together various elements from nature for the benefit of human bodies. Aesthetically, the Gambiered Silk is brown on one side and black on the other with tortoiseshell patterns thanks to its pure natural and hand-dyeing process, that involves plant-based dyeing, sun-drying and coating the fabric with unpolluted river mud. In 2008, the Gambiered Silk was enlisted as a Chinese national intangible cultural heritage.
