TANGY Silk is a top quality all-natural silk. This new fabric is developed by TANGY Collection, and based on the Gambiered Guangdong Silk and its traditional plant-based dyeing process.
Gambiered Guangdong Silk is an all-natural fabric that draws its material from nature. It derives its unique colours and patterns from the extract of wild dioscorea cirrhosa and a 30-step process. It is always a top-grade silk for its anti-bacterial and anti-allergic qualities. Suitable for hand-wash, the fabric will become softer and more comfortable to wear after a few washes.
For over two thousand years, it has followed the traditional processing technique, bringing together various elements from nature for the benefit of human bodies. Aesthetically, the Gambiered Silk is brown on one side and black on the other with tortoiseshell patterns thanks to its pure natural and hand-dyeing process, that involves plant-based dyeing, sun-drying and coating the fabric with unpolluted river mud.
